welcome 29/8/08

Welcome to the lin on a bin project, where we aim to try and run linux on a bin (well actually a bread bin, sainsburys supermarket didn't stock the kind that we wanted. so we had to get one of their value bread bins instead). we are making this on a very tight budget, so far we have managed to get all the components free of charge (apart from the bin which was £10 from sainsburys!). after the lin on mark 1.0 died (it was a crappy old mother board from an old windows 98 pc, which only had a tiny cpu fan, so the mother board was basicity frying its self. and was finely finished off by one of us touching the graphics card without earthing himself). so after that we decided to make lin on a bin mark 2.0. lin on a bin 2.0  is still being built but will soon be finished! so watch this space........

P.S. i will be uploading  a youtube video so don't panic!!!!!
in the mean time please comment and tell us what os you think we should run on lin on a
bin 2.0 (must be a linux os)!

P.P.S. i have started to build the new case for lin on a bin (go back to the last post if you want to see the mockups for lin on a bin 2.0)
